Established in 1985 to serve the caravan industry, Carafax predominantly supply the OE market. Initially the company concentrated on products such as sealants, fixings and rooflights.
Since then however, Carafax has developed a much wider range of products for the Holiday Home, Touring Caravan and Motorhome markets. The Company also supplies goods direct to the larger Tour Operators and more recently Park Home manufacturers.
Current products include a wide range of plastic extrusions; bathroom fittings; plumbing items such as sinks, taps, shower mixers etc; rooflights and vents; roof sheets; roadlights; beds; blinds; fire protection and sealants.
Together with supplying standard "off-the-shelf" products, Carafax will design and develop a bespoke solution based on the identified needs of the client. This design service has generated considerable interest, as manufacturers no longer have to use or adapt products which were originally designed for other industries.
Carafax has moved on from the original concept of selling stand-alone products to providing complete tailored solutions for particular problems.
Carafax has progressed considerably since formation. The company believes that strategic relationships with both customers and suppliers are of paramount importance. The ability of the company to provide bespoke products to the industry has produced strong bonds between partners. The key location on the doorstep of the largest concentration of caravan manufacturers in the UK ensures a high level of service, fast response, and the capability to meet the just-in-time requirements of the larger producer.
